We're On Holiday!

Esdesign is now closed for the holiday season - we will be opening our doors again on the 11th of January.

We hope you all have a superb Christmas and New Years and we'll see you in 2011!

Award season at esdesign ........

Well Done Brit - Thank you to the Dominion for running a bit of a story about the new esdesign award. From Brit's fabric we made 10 limited edition cushions so pop on down and check them out before they all go - they make great Christmas pressies.

Goodies

Around this time of the year we are spoilt rotten with edible goodies from our reps and suppliers.

It would be rude to say 'no' to such thoughtful gifts. Couldn't let them go to waste now, could we?

Brit O'Hara - 'Meandering Summer'

As four of us here at esdesign are design graduates ourselves, we love to support New Zealand's up and coming design talent, so every year Eleanor takes part in the moderation of the third year textile programme at Massey University.

Esdesign then sponsors the printing of the final design of the top awarded student, and makes their 3 metre drop into cushions that are then sold through our store, with profit going back to the winning student.

This year's winner was Brit O'Hara, and we have just put all her finished cushions out on the shop floor for sale! Her design - called 'Meandering Summer' - features stylised scenes from Oriental Parade in Wellington, and comes in a fresh, gorgeous blue and off-white colouring.

Come in and check out some fantastic up and coming talent!

Stephanie Cahorel

We're excited to have just re-stocked the shop with some beautiful new jewellery and decorations by the talented Wellington artist Stephanie Cahorel.

All pieces are hand stamped, painted and glazed and in a range of super bright colours. Sure, they're perfect for pressies (and a perfect price too), but they're so gorgeous that you should sneak one for yourself as well!

Hey, Tiki!

I don't know about you guys, but here at esdesign we are lovin' the gloriously sunny Wellington weather as of late, (not enjoying that sunburn so much though, ouch!) so we are cracking out some summery goodness in store, which includes these vibrant and fun cushions produced by Esther Diamond (artwork by Dick Frizzell).

They come in four summery colours and are a very cool idea for Chrissy presents... come on... you know you got a whole lot of Christmas shopping to do!
