Wallpaper Wednesday: 'Whimsical Collection' by Cole & Son

This week we were treated to the fabulous new collection from Cole and Son called 'Whimsical'; '...A nostalgic and enchanting selection of magical wallpapers, inspired by the classic childhood stories and fairy tales of our youth....'The collection introduces new designs, as well as remastered versions of some of our best selling classics such as the 'Woods' design - this time including a gorgeous wee star graphic among the trees, so sweet for a child's room!

Wallpaper Wednesday: Witch and Watchman

Take a look at the enchanting wallpaper designs by London based artist and designer Helen Z B Wilson for her company Witch and Watchman.

'...Every element in each design has been originally painted by hand in oil on canvas then digitally printed onto wallpaper and fabric using top quality manufacturers in the UK...'

The designs are also available on silk, velvet and cotton, but I think the greatest effect is when you see it laid flat on a wall surface. Just divine!

Wallpaper Wednesday: 'Prism' by Zoffany

In complete contrast to the last collection we shared with you from Zoffany, 'Prism' is a graphic design with a modernist edge, in a hard-wearing, washable vinyl finish and available in six colourways from bold multi-coloured through to soft tones of azure, glass and pearl. We can see this being used in a range of creative settings, both commercial and residential... be inspired!

Wallpaper Wednesday: 'Jaipur' Collection by Zoffany

Take a look at the breathtaking collection of wallpapers from Zoffany called 'Jaipur'. Such a lovely blend of Indian imagery and inspiration with traditional undertones - at first glance it is a subtle blend of designs and patterns, then on closer inspection the intricate detail and careful colour combinations used prove to be brilliantly considered and make for a very refreshing direction to be seeing in today's wallpaper market.

Wall Decal Wednesday: Chasing Paper

Chasing Paper is a range of fabulous re-useable/stickable/loveable wallpaper designed, developed and made in the USA. 

It comes in a whole host of versatile designs covering all bases including simple basics like checks, stripes and dots through to heavenly flora and fauna, geometrics, and even a chalkboard surface! All designs come in panels 2 feet by 4 feet. Perfect for small nooks, above desks, behind a glass splashback... get creative!

The recent wave of popularity that removable wall decals are currently receiving shows no sign of stalling, with more and more product appearing, the time to get amongst it is now!

Wallpaper Wednesday: Muriva 'Foliage'

Check out this wallpaper called 'Foliage' by Muriva that we're specifying for some commercial work.
It is going on the ceiling - yes ceiling - of a corridor which is going to create the most wonderful feeling of literally walking through the bush with the light filtering through from above!

To help build a little more context around this it may help if you'd seen our facebook post earlier this morning... or it may just make things even more confusing... either way, all will be revealed in the New Year!

In the esdesign Studio This Week

Life in the esdesign studio at the moment is preeeeetty busy... but busy in a good way! It is right about now that all of our suppliers cut off for new orders pre-Chrissy, so it's go go go to get our orders through in time so our lovely clients can have new sofas to sit on, coffee tables to put feet up on, wallpaper to feast their eyes on... all in time for Christmas!

The Hexagon is the New Black

The hexagon is taking over all things interior at the moment; from tiles to paneling, from wallpaper to shelving... there are lots of ways to use this geometric delight in your home or commercial environment.
Like the well-loved rectangular subway tile, it is still a classic shape that can cross traditional and contemporary divides easily, but somehow is just that little bit more fun...!
