Do the Banana Leaf

I mentioned on Facebook on Friday the HUGE interiors trend appearing at the moment for all things banana leaf! It's a bit of a tricky one to know how to incorporate this design into your home without making your guests feel like they've gone bush, so check out these images below for a bit of clever inspiration... a top tip: these types of pattern often work in very small amounts like a cushion or two, or used all over but in the smallest rooms of the house - like the loo!

A Little Cute, A Little Prickly

What could we love more than a teeny tiny knitted cactus? That would be 88 of them of course!
'A Promise Made, A Promise Kept' is an installation of stitched succulents by artist Thomas C Chung, combining a love of prickly plants and yarn-based craft in the most pleasing way - and we're so glad his knitting needles didn't stop at just one!

Pot It Up

Thinking about getting stuck into the garden this summer? Get creative with some cute pot plants dotted round the house and yard to give it a fresh look. Planting succulents are great as they are low maintenance and always green with no leaves to fall off! Perfect for those of us 'not so green fingered types'.
