Feature Fabric Friday: 'Raupo' by Ingrid Anderson

We've recently specified the latest textile design from kiwi designer Ingrid Anderson - 'Raupo' - for a client of ours. Ingrid is well known for her turquoise greens, burnt oranges and reds, but this design embraces an earthier colour palette with an abstracted design of the NZ 'Raupo' or bullrush plant. 

Laid out flat it's really striking and graphic, but once gathered to use as a curtain it has a real softness and movement to it which is just perfect for a relaxed interior, it's tones blending beautifully into the surrounds.

A wee while ago we showed you a newly developed rug design from Ingrid Anderson featuring her ever popular Pohutakawa design (see directly below). We're excited to say we can now add to this the Kaka Beak rug, made in New Zealand from 100% New Zealand wool - it is 2m x 3m in size, perfect for so many interior spaces.

Ingrid Anderson - Upholstery Fabrics

We are excited to share with you the latest fabrics from NZ textile artist Ingrid Anderson - this time in upholstery weight, so you can now have her fantastic graphic, digital prints gracing your furniture and squabs!

The range features a great new design called 'Leaf', and one of her best sellers, 'Ring' - re-coloured in exciting new hues.

New from Ingrid Anderson - Pohutakawa Rug

Our best selling Ingrid Anderson fabric would have to be, by far, her 'Pohutakawa' design - and now we are excited to see that she has turned it into a rug!
The circular rugs come two metres in diameter, and made in NZ from 100% wool. We love it! Let us know if you fancy a bit of plush pohutakawa goodness under your toes this winter...

Ingrid Anderson: 'Kaka Beak'

Ingrid Anderson has just released a new fabric design called 'Kaka beak'; a lovely print on both white cotton duck and natural linen base clothes. A really versatile design - it would work well in both contemporary or more traditional settings. We have sampling in store now, so pop in and take a look!

Have you seen our turned 'Pedro' lamp bases? They are reminiscent of the kind that many of us grew up with in our homes, but these ones come in slick black or white paint finishes to contrast superbly with the shade of your choice!
