Vintage Flour Sacks

We've been changing a few things around in the shop over the last couple of weeks - included is our 'washing line' display, now showcasing some of our collection of vintage flour sacks. They're so cool!

Amazing Doily Lamp Shade

How amazing is this lampshade made from a doily style tablecloth? We love the way the intricate pattern is illuminated... a nice warm glow for a wet, wintry day.

This is a pretty neat before and after - a chair that came to us literally in pieces, has now been transformed into a gorgeous occasional chair by covering it in Warwick 'Darjeeling'. Gorgeous!

Vintage Cushion Covers

Here's a little something our intern, Monique was working on last week - some sweet cushions made from a piece of gorgeous vintage blue daisy fabric, topped off with trim salvaged from a vintage table cloth that had seen better days. We love to up-cycle!

Mahogany Chair Frame Upholstery - Complete!

Here are the newly upholstered mahogany framed chairs currently in our workshop - they are just getting a few finishing touches and they'll be heading to their new home this weekend! The fabric is a great two toned weave by Textilia called 'Grange'.

Before & After: Parker Knoll Armchair

This Parker Knoll armchair came to us as just a naked frame - now it has been transformed into a gorgeous and very comfy wee armchair! It is upholstered in a sweet ditty fabric by James Dunlop called 'Erin'.

White Tiles

We've been exploring various tiling options for a really fun commercial job that's ticking along at the moment.
Here are some of our favourites - including hexagonal mosaics, high gloss bricks and creamy beveled edge traditional tiles. There are so many great options, but we have to be careful to not fall in love with them all and try and squeeze them all into the one job!

Another hot topic at esdesign at the moment is sofas - we have a range of companies (all manufacturing in NZ) that we work closely with to custom make the perfect sofas for your needs. So today, let's combine two of our favourite things... sofas, and those hot shades of olive, lime and chartreuse that we seem to have on the brain lately!
