Here's a little project that Sean has been working on for a client of ours. It's so much fun to inject a bit of life into a tired old shade just by using a fresh, colourful fabric! This one is called 'Evergreen', it comes in lots of different colours and is one of our favourites!

A lot of you are well aware how much we love our food here at esdesign, especially when it arrives parceled up in a box by a courier! We thought this may have been a sampling book or something to that effect, but NO! It was a glorious batch of Arobake hot cross buns from our friends at Joug! Thanks guys!
We hope you all get to enjoy a little bit of Easter goodness over the next few days - we are closed on Friday and Monday, but open on Saturday in between for all you lovelies who would like to come and see us.

Well peeps, it's well and truly pouring with rain in Wellington this afternoon, so what better way to mark the sight of a bit of rain with a post about this sweet new design from the talented wallpaper designers and printers 'Paperhands'.
The 'Brollies' design has appeared on the scene along with another new design 'Flax'. We think that it's pretty gorgeous too, don't you?
Did you know that we custom make lampshades? Of course the ones we have in the store are for sale, but we also get shades custom made all the time! That means whichever fabric or wallpaper that you choose, whichever size you require, drum, cone, square, Victorian or waisted shape - we can have them made!

A wee while ago we were asked to put together a concept design for a kitchen in Highbury, Wellington.

Looking for something bright? Fresh? Funky? Distinctly 'kiwi'? Check out the work of NZ textile designer Ingrid Anderson. She prints onto clean, crisp cotton duck and linen to produce these fabulous designs. We love 'em.
They work fabulously as drapery, but if you're only after a small amount, they're great on a lampshade or cushion too. Find it all here at ES!
The lovely team at Headstart Hair Design in Kilbirnie just fired through these great images from the launch of their new salon - and check out that superb wallpaper! It's called 'Peacocks' and comes in a range of gorgeous colours.
Kelley chose the pink colourway for the salon and we think it looks amazing. Head to Kilbirnie to check it out for yourself, or head into esdesign to see what other magical things we could do with YOUR walls!

Have you met these clever people?
Our good friends Helen and Jelle of Joug Design are some of the loveliest people you'll ever meet - and they create these beautiful light-shades! You can see all their goodies here on their website, and we also have a few of their shades in our store for you to check out! These shades are all inspired by the shapes, textures and forms found in the NZ environment, and individually handmade to boot!
We love clever bunnies, don't you?

Looking for something extra extra special? We've got it. Yup. Right here. No really. And you gotta see it to believe it.
This is a 1960's Swedish rosewood dining table, chair and sideboard set - in beautiful original condition. Come in and marvel at the gorgeous grain on the table top, the subtle yet perfect curve of the chair backs and the tiny details like the original red felt lining in the sideboard cutlery drawers.
If you appreciate mid-century furniture, this will make your heart skip.
Come and see for yourself!
Warwick fabrics have just released a new collection called 'Nordic', and our absolute favourite design from the collection is called 'Gustaf'. It comes in these four very different colour-ways, making it great for use in a variety of interior situations. It is 100% printed cotton, perfect for drapery but also totally usable as an upholstery fabric too. The pattern is very large scale, so has a lot of impact when you see it in person. Feel free to ask us about this design, and the rest in the collection!
