Homebase fabrics - at esdesign

Here at esdesign we have the privilege of being a Wellington stockist of the Homebase range of fabrics, designed by Napier artist Leanne Culy. You should definitely check out the Homebase website: http://www.homebasecollections.co.nz/


Below is a patchwork of all the available fabrics in the range. These fabrics come in heavier weight hemp (in the stormy blue and chocolate colours) or a linen (with the creamy white background). All of these fabrics are available for order and purchase from esdesign.

These fabrics can be used to great effect in all sorts of fabulous applications, including drapery, cushions, lampshades, upholstery, and anything else you can dream, all of which can be organised here by us at esdesign.

As well as selling the fabric, we always have finished items in store which make use of these beautiful fabrics, including this chair upholstered in the nature/nurture on hemp. So pop in and check it out.

Art Deco Chair - Before and After

Here at esdesign we heartily encourage up-cycling; there are so many beautiful pieces of furniture out there, made with a craftsmanship rarely seen in this fast and modern world. Often these great pieces are not looked after over their many years & many owners, and that's where we come in! We have a warehouse full of such pieces just waiting to be lovingly restored back to life and put to the use they were created for, and people can bring their own project in to us to wave our magic wands over.
We recently had some clients bring this stunning (and completely run-down) Art Deco arm chair to us, it was a beautiful shape, but totally un-usable, so we restored it to its former glory, and now it's a symphony of orange style!

esdesign hits China!

No, esdesign has not opened a branch in Shanghai but Eleanor has just returned from a fabulous holiday break with her husband, John. As the Paris of the east Shanghai is an eclectic mix of gothic architecture much like Manhattan, NYNY and the ultra modern. With fantastic food, history, culture and people the few days spent there were memorable. She also found some great ribbon which will be in store soon - watch this space and we will give you a preview. Zai jian for now.

esdesign is 5!!

If esdesign were a person it would be time to start school, so we've put out a new range of beautiful blackboards to celebrate this momentous occasion. They are in store now, pop in and have a look! (you may even be allowed to draw on them, if you're really lucky!)

The last 5 years have been very exciting for anyone who has had the good fortune to be involved with esdesign, and long may it continue!

So here's to the next 5 years, may they be as much of a blast as the last 5 have been!
